Joint Chair & Secretary – Clare Brewster
“Started watching City in 1994 when my dad decided to take my brother and I to watch a game for his birthday. We were regulars at NWS for the next few years and I continued to follow them from Maldon to Billericay and back to Chelmsford, as well as away games where possible. Met my husband supporting the club and half our wedding reception there, we’ve now added an extra two members of the claret army! Have also represented the women’s section of the club since 1995 and have amassed over 300 games for the senior teams!”
Joint Chair & Treasurer – Gary Foulger
“Brought my son to a match about 15 years ago to help him with a school project and was instantly hooked! Having left a long IT career in the city, I now work in Local Government, which finally gives me the opportunity to dedicate time to the Supporters’ Club. I’ll bring previous experience of being treasurer for Chelmsford Badminton Club and looking forward to working with the committee to bring about improvements for fans and club.”
Football Club Board Representative – Richie Bethell
“I’ve been following CCFC, since being dragged to the opening game of the 99/00 season away to Fleet Town. An accountant by profession, looking forward to helping to Supporters’ Club, but also keen to assist in a fundraising capacity. I feel that this is the most important task for the Supporters’ Club in the short term future.”
Media Officer – James Sarfas
“Having first attended Chelmsford City in January 2006, at the age of eight, for our first game at Melbourne Park against Billericay, I sporadically attended games before becoming a regular in 2012, just in time to witness our FA Cup run in the 2012/13 season. Having worked in social media in football before and having published a book, I’m joining the media team to assist in the SC’s continued good work online.”
Away Travel Coordinator – George Farr
“I’ve been following City since the return to Chelmsford in 2006. Watching the 2-1 win v Billericay was more than enough to get me hooked! I’ve been a regular user of the supporters coach in the last 17 years and now looking forward to organising it for the Clarets.”
Membership and project:CLARET Officer – Connor Woolner
“I’ve been following Chelmsford City home and away since 2022. When coming along to my first Chelmsford match I was blown away by how inclusive and friendly the fans are. Since then I’ve become hugely passionate about the club and non-league football in general. Over the last few years I’ve been involved with volunteering at Chelmsford City FC and was also the secretary of Coggeshall Town FC last season. As membership and project:CLARET officer I want to be a voice for fans to improve the match day experience and infrastructure at home matches.”
Assistant Secretary – Jack McKechnie
“My first experience watching City was when fellow committee member Will Cresswell dragged me to a game against Weston-super-Mare and I have been hooked ever since. While I may not be able to attend as many games as I would like due to work commitments, I can’t wait to help the committee in any way I can to help deliver a successful Supporters’ Club.”
Supporters’ Club Match Day Operations – Andrew Palmer
“I have been watching City for many a year and have been a committee member for the past 8 years. My role is Supporters’ Club matchday operations.
I’ve been up and down the country supporting my hometown club and have made what I call mates for life and shared some amazing moments with the Claret Army. I’m proud to be a part of this amazing club and would do anything I could to help the club progress.”
Without Portfolio – David Cresswell
David has been with us for many years now and has previously been part of the Events & Fundraising team. During the 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, David was also Away Travel Coordinator, running the coaches to away games.
