The club’s official handbook from the 1947/48 season. This season was a disappointing one in the league with a final placing of 9th but was notable for seeing us play local rivals Colchester United five times in front of a combined attendance of around 50,000 (yes, FIFTY THOUSAND) spectators! The handbook includes notes from manager Arthur Rowe – who went on to win Spurs their first ever First Division title just three years later – and look out for a mention of future City legend Don Walker.
