Home News Supporters’ Club statement – 18/3/26

Following our match against Slough Town, the Supporters’ Club were extremely disappointed with the actions of a few individuals when leaving the ground. We fully support the Football Club in clamping down on anti-social behaviour and are pleased to see the club quickly issuing bans to those identified as being involved in activity that does not meet the clubs Behaviour Guidelines.

We have enjoyed many years of non-league football being a friendly, welcoming environment for all. All of us have benefited from being welcomed into clubhouses, watching matches from anywhere in the ground and swapping ends at half time. Sadly, the actions of a minority has led to segregation being enforced at more grounds, including our own. As we progress up the football pyramid, segregation will become the norm and that is a trade-off for success. However, we all benefit from football being a safe environment where all are welcome.

The Supporters’ Club encourages anyone who sees behaviour that they consider is not acceptable to report it to the nearest steward or club official.

Together we can make a difference.
