It is with great sadness and a heavy heart the Supporters’ Club can confirm the passing of Ian Fish, who had been a Chelmsford City supporter for most of his life. Ian sadly passed away on Sunday 9 August 2026 after a long battle with dementia and other illnesses.
He loved his family, gardening and football. Ian loved standing behind the goal at New Writtle Street, as well as watching the Clarets beat Colchester United 3-1 at Melbourne Park in 2012, with Ian loving to tell people stories about that day.
He loved all his friends at Chelmsford, having a laugh with them, as well as shouting at the ref.
Rest in peace Ian and hopefully you can look down and somehow help us win the league.
