The Supporters Club committee are happy to announce that prices and coach providers for the new season have been finalised. We have been in contact with four different companies to try and find the best fit for our requirements whilst trying to keep our prices as competitive as possible.
We are extremely thankful to Gavin Smith for his generous sponsorship which has enabled us to absorb some of the increased costs compared to last season.
There are a few changes from previous seasons as described below, these are to ensure the viability of the supporters coaches to all games and hopefully will encourage new and previous travelers to join us this season.
Firstly, we will be operating with a minimum number of 15 passengers. Should this number not be reached by Wednesday, we will look at alternative means of transport, including a smaller coach with no toilet facilities, to enable us to still transport those passengers to the game.
Secondly, as previously announced, we will be offering two free seats to each game, to be drawn from all those travelling. This will apply to all games and is one of the advantages we can offer thanks to Gavin’s sponsorship.
Thirdly, we are adjusting the age brackets for the new season. The ‘youth’ age bracket will increase from u16 to u18 and we are trialing a NEW u12 ‘child’ rate for certain journeys. The u12 rate will offer a substantial discount compared to the u18 rate and will be in effect for the Chippenham, Slough, Bath and Taunton games, with the potential to extend it to further games should it prove popular.
Finally, we will be operating ‘responsive pricing’. If any coach has more than 30 passengers travelling, the adult and u18 fares will be reduced by between £5 and £10 depending on the original cost.
With all that in mind, we’re now ready to take bookings for the first two away games!
The coach to Chippenham will depart from MP at 9.45 and County Hotel at 10.00. Prices are £35 adult, £25 youth, £10 child.
The coach to Slough will depart MP at 16.15 and County Hotel at 16.30. Prices are £25 adult, £15 youth, £5 child.
