All at CCSC are saddened to hear of the passing last night of long-time SC member Les Willsher.
Les was a great man who gave so much to our club. He was often seen volunteering his time on the turnstiles and selling advance tickets for FA Cup games like the famous Colchester tie back in 2012.
A well-respected and much loved man, Les was a regular on the terraces at both home and away games before his illness took hold. Indeed, he was still attending home games earlier this season when his health allowed.
Les spent his last days under the care of Farleigh Hospice with his his devoted wife Jan by his side. Our thoughts and condolences go out to both her and their children and grandchildren at this sad time.
