Chelmsford City Supporters’ Club are delighted to announce that Robbie Willmott will be the 12th Man for this season.
Robbie initially signed for the Clarets on non-contract terms but with the help of the 12th Man Fund, the Club were able to offer Robbie a contract last week which we are pleased to say he has signed.
The Supporters Club have agreed to increase their contribution this season to £1000 per month. Last season the SC made payments of £800 per month, contributing to the wages of the departed Rory McAuley who went on to win the Fan’s Player of the Year Award.
We would like to thank everyone who has contributed towards the fund so far. The SC Committee feel it was money well spent last year on Rory who was instrumental in keeping us up. We feel that Robbie will be an exciting player for us this season so we’re very happy that we could assist in securing his services for the season.
We currently have 27 members paying into the 12th Man Fund, whose names can be found on the wall in the bar. If you would like to get involved, there are plenty of ways you can help:
- You can contribute by standing order, just complete the form at the bottom of this page and return to a committee member.
- You can also help by filling our wheelbarrows, which are located outside the SC HQ, with any loose change you have.
- Claret Army will again be running fantasy football which has been generously sponsored by Callaway Sykes. It’s £10 to enter and all entry money will go into the 12th Man Fund. There are cash prizes for the winner and runner up as well as monthly prizes for the ‘Manager of the Month’. Please see http://fantasy.claretarmy.co.uk/ for more info.
- There will also be selected fundraisers throughout the season
If you would like any more information regarding the 12th Man, please email Simon Stancevic at [email protected] or speak to a SC committee member on a matchday.
