The Supporters’ Club is delighted that negotiations are complete and Spencer Gore is now the majority shareholder of Chelmsford City Football Club.
Despite a fantastic performance on the pitch last season, off-field matters remained difficult and it was clear to all that change was still sorely needed. Spencer has been tenacious in his ambition to move from a sponsor of the club to majority ownership, which was confirmed earlier today.
We also give our heartfelt thanks to Dan Watkins who sustained the club since the announcement that the previous majority shareholder was considering offers.
Additionally, we thank Phil Crowe and his team who have carried on during this difficult and uncertain time.
Finally, the Supporters’ Club are looking forward to working with Dan and Spencer to help turn our club into the football club we know it should be.
