Home Fundraising 12th Man Proves Vital

The Supporters’ Club are looking for more fans to get involved in contributing to the 12th Man Fund. So far the SC have assisted the club in securing the signings of both Rhys Murphy and Chris Whelpdale, who both have Football League experience and have already shown their quality in our opening games this season.

What next?

We are always looking to assist the Club whenever possible and the 12th Man Fund has provided vital once more in helping manager Rod Stringer bring in players for this very busy and congested August month where injuries and fitness levels have been a concern. Bringing in the likes of Rhys and Chris have brought a welcomed boost and are sure to provide depth and experience.

In order for us to carry on assisting the Club with signings of such caliber, we need your support; both on and off the pitch and there are many ways to get yourself involved:

The support we’ve received from our fans this season has been phenomenal and we cannot say thank you enough. It’s clear that the initial signing of Rhys Murphy in July brought a lot of excitement among our fan base and your donations and contributions meant we were able to strengthen the Management Team’s budget, which in turn assisted us in helping the club sign Chris Whelpdale.

Of course the 12th Man Fund in the past has assisted the Club in signing Rory McAuley & Robbie Willmott, who both went on to win Player of the Year in their respective seasons! There is no doubt that both players made a significant impact to the playing squad and were firm fan favourites. Rory is now plying his trade at King’s Lynn Town whilst Robbie is back in the Football League with Newport County.
